What is the United Way?
United Way of Wilson County is a community-wide nonprofit organization providing voluntary leadership for a system that assesses human service needs, secures resources to meet those needs, and assures their effective use for the well-being of the community. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life through a combined effort of individuals or organizations pulling together to address health and human service needs in Wilson County.
When you need to get help . . .
The United Way is there for you.
In a nutshell United Way of Wilson County:
• Raises and distributes money through a network of local agencies
• Provides information about local services
• Assesses the quality of programs it funds
• Makes sure the money raised is well spent LOCALLY!
• Works with other organizations to solve community problems.
